Automating invoicing is a significant benefit when using electronic data capture (EDC) systems and clinical trial management systems (CTMS). Understanding the extent and limitations of invoicing is an important consideration when selecting an EDC or CTMS. In multi-site studies, invoicing can become a tedious and time-consuming task when tracking is done using spreadsheets.
