Innovation is at the heart of growth for any industry, as it is for any company. However, most business leader’s focus is on achieving financial targets for the short term. This makes committing internal resources for tomorrow a bargain that many are not fully comfortable with, and they then try to rationalize this decision by claiming that innovation can’t be planned and is best realized as a spontaneous occurrence.
